Dr. Sushanta Tripathy is an experimental high-energy physicist and a Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Lund University, working within the ALICE Collaboration at CERN. Prior to the current position, he was a CERN Research fellow at CERN, Switzerland, a INFN postdoctoral fellow at INFN, Bologna, Italy and postdoctoral fellow at Institute of Nuclear sciences (ICN), Mexico City. He did his PhD in Experimental High-energy Physics group of Department of Physics at Indian Institute of Technology Indore, Indore, India. His research focuses on heavy-ion and small-system QCD, including quark–gluon plasma signatures, event-shape engineering, underlying-event physics, hadron correlations, resonance and light-flavor production, and (anti)nuclei formation. He has held postdoctoral appointments at CERN and INFN Bologna and has contributed to 40+ publications with significant contributions, including leading roles in multiple ALICE results. He has served in several ALICE leadership roles, including convener positions in PWG-MM and PWG-LF , and he has served as a member of the ALICE Physics Board. His work combines precision measurements with advanced analysis methods, including machine-learning applications and event-generator studies, using O2/ROOT-based workflows.
